Logo Master's degree candidate in Telecommunication Engineering

A Master's degree candidate in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Padua with a solid background in Computer Engineering and hands-on software development experience.

My interests span across wireless technologies (5G/6G, WiFi protocols), AI-driven solutions and software development. I've enriched my academic journey with professional experience at Qualcomm, where I worked on next-generation network systems and conducted research for my Master's thesis.

Beyond technology, I find balance in my passion: music, photography and exploring the world through travel and hiking.

ROAD SIGNS AND TRAFFIC LIGHTS DETECTION IN DRIVING SCENES
ROAD SIGNS AND TRAFFIC LIGHTS DETECTION IN DRIVING SCENES

Giacomo Calabria

Computer Vision - University of Padua 2025 Spotlight

We investigate various computer vision techniques to recognize traffic lights and road signs in driving scenes. Using the Open-CV library and YOLO-based models, we have analysed various pictures and we have compared different approaches.

Mobile Adhoc NETwork (MANET) simation

Giacomo Calabria, Sofie Olsen

Quality of Service in Networks - Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya 2024 Spotlight

Using the NS2 simulator, we explore the performance of the MANET network, focusing on the impact of the number of nodes and the probability of packet loss.

Department of Information Engineering, University of Padua 2023

We have conducted a study on the behaviour and utility of Power Controlled Metasurfaces. We have developed two models to evaluate it and verified through a simulation of the radiation patterns.a
